On 18 February 2015, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman of the National Sub-Committee on Public Relations and Legal Affairs under the Policy Committee on Human Trafficking and Illegal Fishing, met the representatives from private sectors, Thai Chamber of Commerce and related industry associations, namely, fishing industry, garment industry, and fishery product manufacturers.
On 30 January 2015, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman of the National Sub-committee on Law, Partnership and Awareness Promotion on Trafficking in Persons, together with top officials from related line agencies gave a press conference on Thailand’s Trafficking in Persons 2014 Country Report, soon to be launched.

H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Sub Committee on Public Relations and Laws held a Press Conference on actions taken against Human Trafficking and Illegal Fishing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand on January 12, 2015.
H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister declares human trafficking to be an urgent issue; directs all concerned agencies to expedite efforts in addressing human trafficking and to submit monthly reports of progress made. The meeting on January 7, 2015 approved the components of 5 sub-committees as well as the sub-committees’ work plans. The 5 sub-committees are: 1) Sub-committee on suppression of trafficking in persons, with the Minister of Interior as chair; 2) the Sub-committee on Women, in the dimension of prevention and suppression of trafficking in persons, with the Minister of Social Development and Human Security as chair; 3) Sub-committee on child labor, forced labor, and migrant workers, with Minister of Labour as chair; 4) the Sub-committee on IUU Fishing, with the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives as chair; and 5) the Sub-committee on public relations and laws related to prevention and suppression of trafficking in persons, with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs as chair.
