{"id":2289,"date":"2017-02-07T14:59:54","date_gmt":"2017-02-07T14:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thaianti-humantraffickingaction.org\/Home\/?p=2289"},"modified":"2017-02-07T14:59:54","modified_gmt":"2017-02-07T14:59:54","slug":"trafficking-victims-court-witnesses-able-to-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thaianti-humantraffickingaction.org\/Home\/2017\/02\/07\/trafficking-victims-court-witnesses-able-to-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Trafficking victims, court witnesses \u2018able to work\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nation on 6 February 2017,<\/p>\n<p>By Wattana Kamchu<\/p>\n<p>VIictims of human trafficking and witnesses in their court cases can seek temporary permits to stay and work in Thailand under newly introduced ministerial regulations.<\/p>\n<div class=\"body_news\">\n<p>\u201cWhen their permits expire, they can request renewals,\u201d Interior Ministry permanent secretary Grisada Boonrach said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>His ministry issued two regulations late last month to extend better humanitarian help and protection to victims of human trafficking and witnesses in court cases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn essence, victims and witnesses, including their dependants, can stay and work in Thailand for two years after their court cases end.
