The Royal Thai Police will continue working with its counterpart, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), to combat cross-border crime and promote cooperation in police affairs.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Thailand’s National Police Chief Police General Torsak Sukvimol said the Thailand-Malaysia annual meeting serves as a platform for both countries to discuss various cross-border crimes and to maintain cooperation in policing affairs.<\/p>\n

“It is an annual meeting alternately hosted by both countries. This reflects our dedication to maintaining order and building confidence in the societies of both countries,” he said in a statement Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The statement was issued in conjunction with the 27th Departmental Review of the Joint Thailand-Malaysia Working Committee Meeting on Criminal Activities<\/strong> held here.<\/p>\n

He added that both countries will continue to uphold their commitment to combat cross-border crime by exchanging intelligence, resources, and expertise.<\/p>\n

Torsak said this year, the meeting focused on exchanging information on nine key topics.<\/p>\n

He said the key focuses included smuggling and trafficking of firearms, stolen vehicles, human trafficking, and illegal immigration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Economic crimes, cyber crimes, drug smuggling and trafficking, border safety, maritime crimes, terrorism, and training and capacity building were also discussed during the one-day meeting,” he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to the\u00a0PDRM<\/strong>‘s official Facebook page, a statement was posted stating that Inspector-General of Police\u00a0Razarudin Husain<\/strong>\u00a0attended the meeting, accompanied by\u00a0Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department<\/strong>\u00a0(JSJN<\/strong>) director\u00a0Khaw Kok Chin<\/strong>,\u00a0Kedah Police<\/strong>\u00a0chief\u00a0Fisol Salleh<\/strong>, and\u00a0Perak Police<\/strong>\u00a0chief\u00a0Azizi Mat Aris<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Bangkok<\/strong>\u00a0on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
