Thai authorities believe he may have been a victim of human trafficking.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 8 January 2025, social media and news channels reported that Wang Xing had gone missing after arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Wang\u2019s girlfriend posted on social media that she had reported his disappearance to Shanghai police and contacted the Embassy of the People&#8217;s Republic of China in Thailand after the actor lost contact following his boarding of a vehicle organized by the alleged perpetrators at the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Wang Xing, widely known by his nickname &#8220;Xing Xing,&#8221; had reportedly traveled to Thailand after being lured by a false promise of a film casting opportunity. He arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 3 January 2025 and was transported to Mae Sot district in Tak province. From there, Wang was tricked into crossing the Moei River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar, an area known for criminal activities, and was coerced into training for phone scams targeting Chinese citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Pol. Gen. Thatchai Pitaneelaboot revealed that the police had collected evidence from Wang\u2019s phone and other communication records to trace his movements.
